Knock yourself out with this super easy, vegan, chocolate sauce. You can use it with anything – sliced fruit, ice cream, cake, bananas, chocolate milk. Anything that tastes good, tastes better with this sauce over it!! The best thing is, there are only three ingredients! Way better than those store bought types that are loaded with all kinds of preservatives and sugars. It stores easy as well. When it’s cooled, just pour it into one of those old fashioned jelly jars and pop it in the cupboard. There’s not much in there to spoil and I don’t think you will have it around long enough for that to happen anyway. It hardens up a bit to the consistency of peanut butter, so reheat gently if you need to pour it over something like… cake! Yummy!
Simple Chocolate Sauce (from the book Whole Foods to Thrive, by Brendan Brazier)
Ingredients:
1/3 cup organic coconut oil
1/2 cup cocoa powder (the best organic, fair-trade, dark variety you can find)
1/4 cup Agave Nectar or maple syrup
Directions:
Melt the coconut oil over low heat in a saucepan. Add the agave or maple syrup and cocoa powder and mix till smooth.
Your done! Wow, that didn’t take longer than 5 minutes to create something so delicious! Enjoy!!!
looks delicious, easy to make and calorie-free (ya, right!)
I was surprised, however, to read that K & D left part of their Blue Owl mud cakes uneaten — is that the true Samway way?
enjoy your family visit!

Hummm this sounds yummy! I am going to ask Pappy to whip it up for us! Do you think he knows where the kitchen is or the pots, better yet, how to use the stove? Haha
Thanks for posting. We’re currently traveling in Fiji and needed the recipe!
Farthest from home we had it was in Canada, glad it made it across the world!
