For those of you unable to join us onboard for a tour before we departed, here’s your chance to see how we’re living. It really is spacious, and just like our home in Miami, we like to keep it as neat and clutter-free as possible! A place for everything and everything in its place. Everyone has his or her own space and clean-up is pretty simple – open a drawer, put it (hide!) away, secure the drawer, viola!
I am just beginning to research the idea of traveling the Great Loop and going to the British Virgin Islands. Your website and family adventure is simply amazing. We have had a Sea Ray 310 for about 8 years and love traveling the ICW north and south of Charleston, SC.
We have decided to sell “Bout Time”, she is on the market. So we are in the process of finding the perfect boat for an adventure similar to yours.
Our plan is to depart Charleston, SC on Sunday, July 31, 2016 (hopefully 2015) and head north.
We would periodically have family join us along the way.
I love the look and style of your boat and was wondering if you would recommend a brand.
My your travels be happy, safe and guided by the light from above and from within.
Thanks in advance!
Thank you for writing. If you’re interested in traveling the Great Loop and the BVI’s, then you should consider a boat that will be safe and comfortable, like a full-displacement trawler, for long stretches of open water. We love our Kadey-Krogen and have only good things to say about the boat, the company, and our fellow Krogen cruisers. You should consider one – new or used. Ours Kadey-Krogen North Sea 48 was built in 2000 and we bought it in 2010. Muddy Waters has held up wonderfully in the 12,000 or so miles we’ve cruised since we purchased the boat. Best of luck in your planning and then traveling. We hope to have the good fortune to embark more adventures ourselves. Michael
